I was a little late jumping onto the Harry Potter bandwagon. I read the first book a few years ago (in approximately two days) and, somehow, it slipped my mind to read the next six. Now I can say with confidence that I am a Harry Potter fan through and through. I’m finishing the last book just in time for the final movie that comes out next week! However, I haven’t seen all of the movies, so Chris and I are having several HP movie nights so that I can catch up.

When I found this recipe for butterbeer cupcakes about a week ago, I knew I had to make them. It was like an urgent calling. I blogged about it and everything.

Last night was the night! Over the span of three hours, I whipped up a ganache, cupcakes and a buttercream frosting.

And they were great.

(p.s. did you catch the part where I “whipped up a ganache?” I’ve always wanted to say something like that.

I had a helper.

And Chris liked them. So I think that indicates a success.
